What families ask before care begins.
Every care plan is personal, but these answers explain the basics.
How much does care cost, and can ALTCS help?
Private-pay care starts at $38 per hour, with a four-hour minimum per visit. Straight, fee-for-service Arizona Medicaid may pay for authorized services for eligible members. Contracts with ALTCS health plans/MCOs are pending. See pricing details or read our ALTCS guide.
How does caregiver matching work?
We consider care needs, location, schedule, communication style, routines, cultural preferences, personality, and caregiver experience. We stay involved through check-ins and supervision, and we address concerns if the match needs adjustment.
What happens when care needs change?
We review the care plan and schedule with the family. Services can be increased, reduced, or adjusted as goals, safety risks, routines, or family availability change, subject to caregiver availability and any payer authorization.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Private-pay visits have a four-hour minimum. Authorized Medicaid or other program services follow the approved service plan or payer rules.
What does “non-medical” mean?
Our caregivers support daily living, personal care, companionship, meals, light housekeeping, reminders, respite, and arranged transportation. They do not diagnose conditions, perform skilled nursing procedures, or administer medication.
